The Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Cyprus presents the 1st Georgian Culture Festival in Cyprus. Three unique performances by the Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” and the Georgian polyphonic singing group “Georgian Voices”. An amazing worldwide famous traditional dance show that entails a mixture of symbols, history, modern perceptions and harmony. A choreography that combines intense rhythms, graceful movement and exquisite synchronization.
With 70 years’ experience and over 20.000 performances in 98 countries, “Sukhishvili” presents through their performances the rich heritage of Georgia.
Georgian polyphonic singing has been proclaimed by UNESCO as one of the Oral and Intangible Masterpieces of Humanity. The second generation of the Georgian Voices was created on the base of Tbilisi State University. With 18 years of performances, 7 albums and performances with Bobby McFerrin, Sting are undoubtedly an experience that one must enjoy at least once in their life. Their repertoire, which is distinguished by its variety and the range of cosmic sounds, consists of folklore songs and creations of different composers.
The Georgian Culture Festival would simply not be complete without wine and so before each performance, traditional Georgian wine will be offered in the foyer from 20:00.

Η Πρεσβεία της Γεωργίας στην Κύπρο παρουσιάζει το Φεστιβάλ Γεωργιανής Κουλτούρας στην Κύπρο. Τρεις μοναδικές παραστάσεις από τα Γεωργιανά Εθνικά Μπαλέτα “Sukhishvili” και το Γεωργιανό πολυφωνικό σχήμα “Georgian Voices”. Μια πρωτόγνωρη μουσικοχορευτική εμπειρία γεμάτη ένταση και θυελλώδη παλμό από τα παγκοσμίου φήμης Γεωργιανά Εθνικά Μπαλέτα “Sukhishvili” και το Γεωργιανό πολυφωνικό σχήμα “GEORGIAN VOICES”.
Εδώ και 70 χρόνια τα Sukhishvili με πάνω από 20,000 παραστάσεις σε 98 χώρες παρουσιάζουν μέσα από το πρόγραμμά τους την πλούσια κληρονομιά της Γεωργίας. Έντονοι ρυθμοί, όλο χάρη κίνηση και τέλειος συγχρονισμός των μπαλέτων.
Το Γεωργιανό πολυφωνικό τραγούδι έχει ανακηρυχθεί από την UNESCO ως ένα από τα Αριστουργήματα της Προφορικής και Άυλης Κληρονομιάς της Ανθρωπότητας (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Οι Georgian Voices με επιτυχημένες εμφανίσεις σε πάρα πολλές χώρες σε περίοδο πάνω από 18 χρόνια, έχουν δημιουργηθεί στη βάση του Κρατικού Πανεπιστημίου της Τιφλίδας. Το ρεπερτόριο τους, όπου έχει ξεχωρίσει από την ποικιλία του, αποτελείται από παραδοσιακά τραγούδια και δημιουργίες διάφορων συνθετών.
Αναμφίβολα μια παράσταση θεάματος που πρέπει να έχει απολαύσει κανείς τουλάχιστο μια φορά στη ζωή του.
Επίσης πριν την κάθε παράσταση στο foyer των θεατρικών χώρων θα υπάρχει οινογευσία με Γεωργιανά κρασιά από τις 20:00.
