A few hours west of Melbourne, Australia, Strawberry Fields is an annual celebration of art, sound, and creative expression that lasts for three days in November. Every year, a wide variety of well-known and ground-breaking electronic music from Australia and abroad is available. Enjoy a sensory extravaganza that includes heart-pounding music, top-notch design, hundreds of unique market booths, artistic installations, live performance art, seminars, forum discussions, and more.
Strawberry Fields also becomes better and better with each passing year, much like a real woodland fairytale. Originally a techno-focused festival, it has expanded to feature a variety of electronic music and serves as a carousing showcase for performers, artists, and entertainers. They actively seek out local talent for the acts on the bill, and when selecting the line-up, they solely consider quality.
The history
Three youthful dreamers started Strawberry Fields in 2009. Strawberry Fields began as a three-day festival in East Gippsland with fewer than 1,000 attendees. Since then, it has expanded to 10,000 attendees from all over the world and cemented its position as one of Australia’s most well-known art, music, and camping festivals. After a decade spent at several locations in the Tocumwal area, the festival is now held every summer at “The Wildlands,” a 300ha private property with almost 1km of frontage to the famous Murray River that is only 15 minutes from Tocumwal village. Attendees may enjoy four days of live music, large-scale art, workshops, and wild river swimming in one of Australia’s most breathtaking natural settings thanks to specially designed sustainable infrastructure.
Visitors at Strawberry Fields are highly invited to participate in the festival, whether they create and host their own theme camp, provide art and installations, or play music performances. It appeals to hard partygoers and those who seek to broaden their consciousness because of its democratic attitude and dance music-focused program. The authorities have previously closely watched these partygoers as they entered the event in the past. Aside from the police presence outside the festival, it’s a relatively laid-back event that gives your mind some time off.
